Weekly Update - May 6th, 2007

Well, it's June and I'm still here in North Kansas City, MO. Transfers are next week and I'm not really sure if I'm sticking around or getting shipped off somewhere else. I hope I stay. But, I know it's not up to me. And I'm okay with that.

You all haven't heard form me in a while. So I'll try and hit the Highlights (and hopefully I don't duplicate what I've already said once before).

At the end of May (the 26th, I believe) I had the privilege of seeing the McCann Family go to the St. Louis Temple and learn about God and most importantly, be sealed to each other and their children for not only time, but also all of eternity. For those of you who may not already know. We believe that the Marriage between a Man and his dear, sweet wife; is meant to last much longer than "til death do you part." But that God intends for us to be with those whom we love (in the same relationship we had with them here in this life) for FOREVER! What an amazing thing to know! It really shows God's love for us that He would make that possible for each of us AND teach us that truth. When you know that you can be with your family forever, it makes you try a little harder to get along and work things out when life gets difficult. Knowing that one truth, that we can be together forever, makes the other things Christ taught have a lot more meaning. No WONDER He taught that we should love one another even as He loves us! I know that God wants us to be happy. And we CAN be, if we just obey the commandments.
